Good morning all. Well still no power. The generator works fine but man it is expensive to run. With the price of gas it guzzles $25 a day. I'm going to shut it during the daylight hours. National grid said our area is taking long because the poles are in the back yards so they can't use the power buckets and have to climb the poles. They called in over 3000 workers from all over the Eastern US. Just have to take it one day at a time. We are doing fine. Rosie said to say hello to everyone and we both thank all for your concern.

Bob, hang tight...just warn us when your stash of zoot scraps run low. We wouldn't want you to have to get into the stash!

Glad to hear you and Rosie are well, Bob. I've been thinking about you. There's probably nothing I can do to help, but let me know if there is.

We drove to Cleveland on Thursday and back home last night (on route 79/86), and never saw any snow on the ground. Strange to think that just a short ways to the north you guys were buried in it. Normal fall weather here in Ithaca.

Just finished cutting a bunch of tree limbs. Time for a break. Cold air from my buddies in Canada passing over the warmer water of Lake Erie creates lake effect snow. Quite a bit earlier than normal. The snow is just about gone but the cleanup will take weeks. FEMA is sending $5 million to the area to help with the cleanup.

Hang in there, Bob!!!!!   There's still several thousand FEMA trailers sitting at an airport in Arkansas. They may or may not show up with the 5 million to restore your city.

Hey Bob at least you can't say us Canadian's are full of hot air Fortuneately the gulf stream doesn't pick up air from Ottawa and redirect to Buffalo.

Bob with all those fallen trees there are bound to be a bunch of mature Walnut, Cherry, Maple and potentially Sycamore trees available. It's a shame though some of it maybe salvageable into guitars as opposed to firewood and landfill.

Keep warm and hope you get the lights on soon!

I mentioned to my wife about the sad situation Bob was in, having no electricity.... she commented that this would be a good opportunity to get old school and start re-sawing some of that wood with a good hand saw.

She makes me laugh.

Dear Bob and Rosie,
I am glad to hear you guys are OK!!
Mother nature can be difficult I know.
I lived in Alaska for 9 yrs and Montana for about the same.
If there is something I can do for you and Rosie, all you have to do is ask and I will be there for you.

I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
I never blow hot air...

Hang in there and keep us posted and the whiskey bottle full!!
Please remember...just ask.

God Bless, walter
